Sierra Designs Ministry 40 Backpack Specifications

Carry everything you need for your next rock- and ice-climbing trip in the Sierra Ministry 40 backpack. The Ministry 40--which holds up to 2,500 cubic inches of gear (medium/large size)--is equipped with a comfortable Fulcrum suspension system, which includes thermo-molded, S-curved shoulder straps and a thermo-molded, pre-curved waist belt. In conjunction with the load-lifter/stabilizer straps, the Fulcrum system distributes the weight evenly across the body, so you'll feel comfortable throughout your hike. Storage-wise, the Ministry 40 includes a large top-loading main compartment, a Super-Size-Me front pocket for accessories, a fleece-lined pocket for your sunglasses, and a security pocket with a key clip. Plus, the pack includes plenty of room for your climbing gear, with trekking pole loops, ice-axe loops, lash tabs, and a crampon pocket. The pack even comes with an integrated bottle opener, so you can pop open a soda or beer when you sit down for your well-deserved rest.

To keep you hydrated on the trail, the Ministry 40 comes with a hydration sleeve (reservoir sold separately). The pack is prepared for stormy weather thanks to such features as a snow-shedding back panel, radio/GPS attachment points, an emergency bivy pad, and a storm collar. Other details include side compression straps, a load compression strap, a haul handle, a three-point haul system, ski loops, a sternum strap, hip-belt stabilizers, forward-pull waist-belt adjustment, and a single DAC aluminum stay.
